CACI International championed skin health education at this year's Happy Place Festival, founded by Fearne Cotton, where Rejuva Med Key Opinion Leader Dr Hansel Misquitta joined presenter and influencer Afia Kufuor for an expert discussion on the connection between hormones and skin health.
Hosted by Afia, the session attracted an engaged audience eager to learn more about how hormonal changes can influence skin at every stage of life. Together, Afia and Dr Hans discussed the impact of the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, perimenopause and menopause on concerns including acne, pigmentation, dryness, sensitivity and hair growth, while also addressing conditions such as PCOS and the effects of hormonal treatments.
Reflecting on the event, Dr Hans said: ‘It was a real privilege to join Afia at the Happy Place Festival and have such an open, honest conversation about the relationship between skin and hormones. What made the session particularly special was the audience engagement.
People asked thoughtful, personal questions and were genuinely interested in understanding what their skin may be communicating, without fear, shame or misinformation.’
She continued: ‘These conversations matter because skin changes are not simply cosmetic; they can affect confidence, identity and quality of life. Being able to combine medical evidence with real human experience in such a supportive setting was incredibly rewarding.’
Afia added: ‘It was such an insightful conversation, made even more special by everyone who came along, asked questions and shared their own personal stories.’
Ahead of hosting the event, Afia experienced the CACI Rejuva Med facial with Dr Hans at her London clinic, choosing the treatment as the perfect pre-event skin preparation.
Afia commented: ‘The CACI Rejuva Med facial was the perfect choice for a lovely brightening and sculpting boost ahead of hosting. Relaxing and with minimal downtime, it's perfect for busy women on the go.’
As part of CACI's support for the event, every attendee received a CACI Purifying Silver Mask, formulated for oily, combination and sensitised skin, extending the brand experience beyond the discussion itself.

The festival appearance reflects CACI's continued investment in consumer education and its partnership with leading medical experts to raise awareness of evidence-based skin health. Through Rejuva Med and its growing network of Key Opinion Leaders, CACI continues to champion conversations that bridge advanced aesthetic treatments with wider wellness and dermatological education.
